Scene 1 Shot 1 [[[City of Broken Dreams]]]
First composited production shot!
City of Broken Dreams - my interpretation of the dystopic midwestern city - a city that was built overnight out of industrial desire. It has no foundation of it's own, as it was made to serve a specific purpose. Midwestern cities are lost souls now, partially abandoned places in America's middle-abyss, searching for what can define them now in a post-industrial land.
The swaying structure is piled with things I love and hate. I hate: strip malls, organized religion, fast food restaurants, and banks - the staples of the Midwestern income after the fall of the factory. I loved my 'home': the houses are cardboard representations of real places I grew up in.
